As Chefs, you are fully aware of the wide range of hazards your feet are exposed to every day. It's crucial to adequately protect your feet from slippery floor surfaces, hot oil spillages, and sharp objects while staying comfortable.
Worry not, and let us tell you about the new, innovative, and ground-breaking Chef Shoe, which is a solution to all of the above.
Created with comfort in mind, it offers orthotic-friendly foot support. It is also puncture and heat resistant. Not to mention environmentally friendly – everything you need to leave you focused on the job at hand.
The shoe features a customisable double footbed, ensuring comfort and support for various feet widths. Simply remove the flat sole for a half-size amendment to the fit. The second, orthotic-friendly sole features raised edging to better support the sides of your feet.
The shoe has a bonded toe cap lining made from Aramid fibres1, used in ballistic body armour. It gives superior puncture and heat resistance above the foot and toe area.
It is designed and created to suit you, your comfort, and your daily hustle.
The shoes's edge-to-edge grip is designed to keep you on your feet and reduce the risk of slipping (slip-resistant to ASTMF2913-17 standard2).
The mould and material have been primarily improved for a better experience: it is shock-absorbing and enriched with nitrile: increasing wear and oil resistance, plus it has a polymerized3 sole heel that minimises the chance of falling apart.
The shoes are also anti-bacterial and easy to clean – just use water and soap.
Unlike shoes made from EVA foam which shrinks with heat, Chef Works Chef Shoes are made with 60% recycled PVC4. They won't shrink in size and are very sustainable, ticking the box for the eco-conscious Chef or restaurant owner.
So, if you're finding the pressure is rising in the kitchen and your feet are feeling it, look no further than Chef Works' new Chef Shoe.
Chef Shoes are available in black and work to European sizing. Don't forget to check our Q&A and the size chart.
You will be able to purchase the shoes at the end of July 2021.
